1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("T&Cs") govern the use of this website and the purchase of jewelry offered to consumers ("you") by Katjuša Jewelry online store ("we", "us", "our").
By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these T&Cs, so please read them carefully before making any purchase.

Products
We offer handcrafted jewelry, categorized as follows:
- Stock pieces: Ready‑made jewelry available for immediate purchase.
- Personalised pieces: Brspoke/Custom‑made jewelry modified or made to your specifications and requirements (e.g. engraving, resizing, bespoke design).
Availability
- Stock pieces are subject to availability and are normally dispatched within 2-5 working days of order confirmation, unless otherwise stated.
- Personalized pieces are made to order and require longer production times, depending on complexity. The estimated timeframe is generally 2-5 weeks and the specific production time will be communicated and agreed upon with you before production begins.
4. Product Information and Accuracy
Materials Used
Pieces are crafted using top quality materials such as:
- Precious metals: Gold (Au), silver (Ag), platinum (Pt), and palladium (Pd), as defined under the Slovenian Precious Metal Products Act.
- Non‑precious materials: Metals, alloys, or other materials not classified as precious.
- Gemstones: Precious and semi-Precious stones, which can be natural or lab‑grown origin.
Product descriptions
We provide as accurate as possible product descriptions and details, including information on materials, type of stone, weight, dimensions, finish, texture, and any relevant certifications (e.g. hallmarking and gemmological certificates).
Due to natural characteristics of materials, minor variations in colour, inclusions, texture and details may occur. These are inherent qualities and are not considered defects or a lack of conformity under the legal guarantee (provided the overall description is met).
Product Images and Dimensions
We make every effort to ensure that pieces are accurately presented. However, minor variations may occur due to the handcrafted nature of our jewelry and the natural characteristics of materials:
- Image variation: Slight variations in colours, texture and details may occur due to natural characteristics of materials, and differences in screen settings, lighting conditions, or standard image post-processing.
- Dimensions variation: All dimensions are given as accurately as possible to represent the proportions and external dimensions of the pieces.
Ring sizes (inner diameter) are provided and manufactured precisely.
5. Products Compliance and Hallmarking
Hallmarking
All precious metal pieces are tested and hallmarked in accordance with the Slovenian Precious Metal Products Act and are verified by Assay Office of Slovenia, certifying the fineness of precious metals (e.g. gold, silver, platinum).
International CCM Hallmarking: A Common Control Mark (CCM) in accordance with the Hallmarking Convention is available for certain pieces, as stated in the product description.
Product Hallmarks
All three marks (stamps) on precious metal pieces guarantee the quality of the product:
- Supplier’s mark: our unique mark (name stamp) registered with the Slovenian Assay Office.
- Fineness mark: a three digit number indicating purity (e.g. 585 for 14k gold, 925 for sterling silver).
- Conformity mark: The official mark of the Slovenian Assay Office (Slovenian state assay mark) or CCM (Common Control Mark) if stated in the product description.
Weight Exemptions: The mandatory application of the official Conformity Mark is exempted for pieces below the following thresholds:
- Gold and Palladium pieces lighter than 1 gram (< 1g)
- Silver pieces lighter than 7 grams (< 7g).

Gemmological certificates
Precious stones may be provided with certificate from recognised gemmological institute (e.g. GIA, IGI, HRD, or others) to verify their identity, quality, and characteristics (e.g. type, authenticity, carat weight, grading, and origin., etc.).
Certificate guarantee the quality of precious stone and is available for certain precious stones, as stated in the product description.
6. Ordering and Contract Formation
How to order
Order process:
- Select the product(s) you want and add to the cart.
- Go to Checkout and enter shipping information (your address and shipping address, if different) and sign up (optional) or log in.
- Review your order and accept these T&Cs.
- Submit your order and process payment and you will receive an automatic order confirmation email.
- We will subsequently send you order progress e-mails regarding payment, shipment, and delivery.
For personalized pieces or other important order information:
- Please provide your specifications (such as engraving text, resizing) when placing your order in the 'Additional information' field during the checkout process.
- We will confirm your specifications with you and may require additional design approval before production.
Contract Formation
The contract, including these T&Cs is concluded and binding when you receive the order confirmation email.
We may decline or cancel the order/contract in case of errors, unavailability, payment authorization fails, or other valid reasons.
7. Prices and Payment
Pricing
Prices are listed in Euro (EUR) and include VAT where applicable (see below).
Prices may change without notice, but the price at the time of order will be honoured.
Delivery costs (free deivery) are clearly indicated during checkout.
Value Added Tax (VAT)
We operate as a small business/enterprise (SME) from EU (Slovenia), with business-to-consumer (B2C) activities.
VAT is charged according to SME VAT rules and exemptions for cross-border distance sales of goods to consumers (according to VAT directive and VAT legislation):

VAT exemption means that the small enterprise does not charge VAT to its customers.
The correct tax (VAT tax-exempt or tax-free) is applied automatically during the checkout process based on the billing address country.
Accepted Payment Methods
We accept debit cards, credit cards, and bank transfer.
All transactions are processed through secure payment gateways by respective providers (Mollie and others).
Payment Security
Card details are encrypted and not stored by us. Transactions are subject to respective payment processor's (Mollie and others) terms and buyer protection policies.
Currency Conversion
Currency conversion fees or exchange rates may be applied by payment processors or your bank in case o currency conversion.
Payment Authorization
Orders are only processed upon successful payment authorization. We reserve the right to refuse orders if payment authorization fails.
8. Shipping and Delivery
Free Delivery
We include free worldwide delivery with insurance during transit on every order.
All jewellery is securely packaged and delivered by reputable courier or postal services to ensure safe and timely delivery of your order.
Your parcel is tracked and traced and requires a signature on delivery to confirm receipt (POD - proof of delivery).
Processing Time
Your orders are processed and dispatched within the following timeframe:
- Stock pieces are subject to availability and are normally dispatched within 2-5 working days of order confirmation, unless otherwise stated.
- Personalized pieces are made to order and require longer production times, depending on complexity. The estimated timeframe is generally 2-5 weeks and the specific production time will be communicated and agreed upon with you before production begins.
You will receive an email with tracking details once your order is dispatched.

Your parcel will be delivered within the following timeframe after dispatch:

Specific Date and Urgent Deliveries
If delivery until a specific date is essential or urgent (e.g., jewelry for a gift), please request this in the 'Additional information' field during the checkout process.
We will check and confirm whether such a delivery is possible (or advise you of available options).
Shipping Address
Please provide a valid and complete shipping address and phone number. If delivery fails due to an incorrect address, re‑delivery costs may apply.
Customs and Duties
Depending on the destination country, customs duties and taxes may be charged:
- EU Countries: Duty‑free.
- Other Countries: For international deliveries outside the EU, you (recipient) may be required to pay import duties, taxes, customs fees, or other charges imposed by the destination country.
Please be advised that customs procedures may cause delays beyond our control.
Invoicing and Customs Declarations
All shipments include a detailed invoice and customs declaration (if applicable), in line with international customs rules. Jewelry descriptions are specific (e.g. “14k gold ring with diamond”) to comply with customs regulations.
Remedies for Delay
If delivery does not occur within the agreed timeframe:
- You may grant us an additional period appropriate to the circumstances.
- If we still fail to deliver, you may terminate the contract and receive a full refund without delay.
Risk Transfer
We (and the delivery service) remain responsible for delivery of the goods until these are delivered into your physical possession, which is confirmed by signature at the time of delivery.
Delivery inspection
Please inspect the parcel with the courier at the time of delivery, and if:
- Parcel is undamaged, please sign to confirm receipt (POD - proof of delivery).
- Parcel is damaged and pieces are not damaged or missing, please record this with the courier (e.g., mark "damaged packaging" or "received under reserve") on the delivery receipt.
- Parcel is damaged and pieces are damaged or missing, please refuse the delivery (e.g., mark "damaged packaging and pieces damaged/missing") on the delivery receipt.
In case of any issues, please notify us by email without undue delay and include photos of the parcel and its contents. This will help to resolve the issue with delivery service.
9. Cancellation, Return and Refund
Stock Pieces – Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)
You may cancel (withdraw) your order/contract within 14 days of receiving your pieces, without giving any reason (according to EU Consumer Rights Directive).
Procedure of return:
- Notification: To exercise this right, please notify us by email with a clear statement of your intent (and include order details).
- Return: Return the products in their original, unused and unaltered condition and packaging, without undue delay and no later than 14 days of receiving them.
You are responsible for a return and related return delivery costs, unless the item is defective or incorrectly supplied.
We recommend you to use insured return delivery, including proof of delivery, to avoid loss. - Refund: Refund (full or reduced for diminished value, whatever is applicable) will be processed within 14 days of cancellation, but we will withhold until receipt and inspection of the returned pieces. The refund will be issued using the same payment method as the original purchase.
- Diminished Value: You are liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish item's nature and characteristics.
If returned items show signs of use beyond this — for example, scratches, damage, missing packaging, or wear — we will reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value.
Personalised Pieces – No Right of Withdrawal
You have no statutory right to cancel (withdraw) the order/contract for personalised or bespoke/custom made pieces (according to EU Consumer Rights Directive).
However, you may cancel the order before production begins.
- Please notify us by email with a clear statement of your intent and include order details.
In such cases, we may request reimbursement for any costs already incurred.
10. Legal Guarantee
Guarantee Period and Liability: All products are covered by a 2-year legal guarantee (under EU and Slovenian consumer protection laws).
We guarantee that all products conform to the product description and are free from defects at the time of delivery.
We are liable for any lack of conformity (defect or not as described) that exists at the time of delivery and becomes apparent within two years from that time.
Your rights in case of non-conformity: If a product does not conform to the contract, you have the following rights, provided you notify us of the defect at the latest within 2 months of its discovery:
- Right of Rejection (30 Days): If a lack of conformity appears within 30 days of delivery, you have the right to immediately withdraw from the contract and claim a full refund, without first requesting repair or replacement.
- Subsequent Claims: If lack of conformity appears after 30 days of delivery, you shall first request free repair or replacement. If this fails, you may demand a price reduction or refund.
- Remedy Timeframe: We undertake to remedy the lack of conformity (repair or replacement) within 30 days of being informed of the lack of conformity.
Exclusions and Limitations: The legal guarantee does not cover or is void in case of:
- Damage or defects resulting from normal wear and tear (e.g. loss or loosening of gemstones, stretching of clasps, etc.).
- Accidental damage due to drops, impacts, etc. (e.g. breakage, dents, scratches, etc.).
- Improper handling or misuse (including work or sport activities, etc.) or deliberate damage to the product.
- Exposure to harsh conditions (e.g. high temperatures, humidity, etc.) or contact with chemicals or cosmetics (e.g. detergents, chlorine, cosmetics, etc).
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs.
- Improper care or maintenance. We advise inspecting your jewelry regularly and seeking professional repair for issues not covered by this guarantee.
11. Safety and Hazards
Safe Use and Risks: Our jewelry is designed for normal, daily wear. To prevent injury to yourself or others and to avoid damage to the jewelry, please follow these precautions:
- Avoid Entanglement: Do not wear jewelry (especially long chains, dangling earrings, or large rings) during sports, physical work, or activities near machinery or equipment where impact, entanglement, or catching on objects may occur.
- Remove Before Sleep: Remove all jewelry before sleeping to prevent accidental injury or damage.
- Inspection: Inspect clasps, prongs, and settings regularly. Stop wearing the jewelry immediately if any part becomes loose, bent, damaged, or if sharp edges or protrusions appear, and seek professional repair.
- Mmodifications and repair: Do not make modifications or repairs yourself, but give the piece to a professional (goldsmith).
Chemical and Environmental Exposure: Avoid exposing your jewelry to harsh chemicals or extreme conditions, which can cause permanent damage, corrosion, or stone loosening:
- Avoid Chemicals: Remove jewelry before using household cleaners, detergents, chlorine, or before contact with perfumes, cosmetics, and lotions.
- Avoid Harsh Environments: Do not wear jewelry in swimming pools, hot tubs, saunas, or during activities involving excessive moisture or extreme temperature changes.
Warnings for Children and Allergies:
- Choking Hazard: Jewelry may contain small parts and is not suitable for children and poses a serious choking hazard. Keep all pieces out of reach of infants and children.
- Chemical Compliance: Our jewelry complies with EU chemical safety regulations (nickel release, cadmium, lead limits). However, individual sensitivities vary. If you have a known skin allergy, review product descriptions carefully and discontinue use immediately if irritation occurs and consult doctor.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
Privacy: We collect and process personal data in compliance with GDPR and Slovenian law.

13. Intellectual Property
Ownership: All content on our website, including product designs, text, images, and logos, is our property and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Use of Content: You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from our website without our prior written consent.
14. Limitation of Liability
Liability Limitations: We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products. Our liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods. We do not cover any further damages, consequential losses, or costs. This does not exclude liability for statutory consumer rights.
Force Majeure: We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. natural disasters, wars, strikes, pandemics, government restrictions, etc.).
15. Complaints and Alternative Dispute Resolution
Complaints: If you have a complaint, please contact us by email. In order to assist you with your query, please include your order number, a clear description of the issue, and attach any relevant photos or documents. We acknowledge complaints within 8 working days and aim to resolve them within 15 working days. We will work with you to resolve the issue fairly and promptly.
Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR): If you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you may use ADR, which provides out-of-court settlement procedures for EU consumers. We will participate in the ADR. Any disputes shall be resolved by Slovenian ADR body: European centre for dispute resolution, https://www.ecdr.si/.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Governing Law: These T&Cs are governed by the laws of Slovenia and applicable EU consumer law.
Jurisdiction: Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent court in Ljubljana, unless mandatory EU consumer jurisdiction rules apply.
17. Amendments
Changes to T&Cs: We may update these T&Cs from time to time. Changes apply to orders placed after the date of publication.
